The annual Summit church soup supper and board meeting was held Monday evening to plan for 2005. Those attending and enjoying the evening were Pastor Linda Willey and husband Mark, Sherry and Marvin Nightengale, Dustin Gaines, Ty and Kim Gaines, Cindy and Jeff Holt, Dorene and Ron Kirkpatrick, Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Maude Gaines, and LaVonne Ammeter.

LaVonne Ammeter and Donella Humphries were in Marion Monday and Thursday. Maude Gaines was with them Thursday.

LaVonne visited Tuesday with Maude Gaines and Marquetta Eilerts.

Donella Humphries visited Wednesday with LaVonne. Sherry Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and Dorene Kirkpatrick met at LaVonne's for Ladies Aid. Helen Logan and Melissa Ramsey and McKayla were afternoon visitors. Ron Humphries came for Donella in the evening.

Michele Boise and Dylan spent Thursday evening at LaVonne's decorating cakes. McKayla Oursler and Stan Ammeter also were visitors and supper guests.

LaVonne and Michele Boise delivered cakes Friday morning to Legacy Park. Later in the afternoon Maude and LaVonne attended a reception at Legacy Park for Margaret Jewell's 94th birthday.

Margaret Matz of Peabody, Maude Gaines, and LaVonne went to El Dorado Saturday afternoon to the wedding of Katie Banks and Patrick Todd at St. John's Catholic Church, followed by the reception, dinner, and dance at Prairie Trails Country Club. Katie is Bill and Marie Clark's granddaughter and Michele and John Bank's daughter.

LaVonne visited on the phone Saturday evening with grandson Rob Ammeter of Charleston, S.C., and had a neat conversation with great-granddaughter, Samantha. Oh, what fun! She's so smart for a three-year-old.

We had church at Summit Sunday morning. Maude Gaines and LaVonne were joined by Hazel Clothier for lunch at Florence and later visited Elsie Tittle and Ike and Marie Clark.

We wish Bruce Sayers a speedy recovery from his recent surgery.

Hope you all have a great week and enjoy this lovely autumn weather!
