Ammeter news

Kathryn Ireland of Newton and Carolyn Metz arrived Saturday morning at the Ammeter farm and took me to Herington to the home of a cousin, Pat Miller, to help Shirley Pierce celebrate her 80th birthday. Those attending for lunch were Bertie Wooster, Kathryn Locke, and two of her daughters from Kansas City, and Shirley Pierce and her daughter of Wichita, LaVonne, Carolyn, and Kathryn. We had such a good time visiting and walking down memory lane. Such good food, too! A sister in Florida called in the afternoon.

On the way home we stopped in Marion and visited Laura Brandon and Kathryn visited Roseva McLinden. A real special day.

Maude and LaVonne went to Marion Wednesday for doctor's appointments and lunch at The Big Scoop. Ladies Aid came in the afternoon. Sherry and Maude attended.

Stan Ammeter was a morning visitor of LaVonne.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Peabody shopping Friday afternoon.

Michele Boese visited LaVonne Monday afternoon.

We had church at Summit Sunday. Pastor Ragland had his usual good message.

LaVonne and Maude went to Peabody Sunday noon to the Weber reunion at the Peabody Senior Center. Had a good turn-out and delicious food.

Stan Ammeter and McKayla Osler were Saturday afternoon and supper guests.

LaVonne visited Aunt Nonie Widler and Emma Shaw Monday afternoon at Legacy Park.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Marion Tuesday. They ate lunch at The Big Scoop.

How about the nice rain over the weekend?

We send sympathy and prayers to the Eilerts family and the Richard Gfeller family in the loss of their loved ones.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Steve Stucky and the rest of the family for a speedy recovery.
