I didn't get my news in this past week because I was a traveler so I'll play catch-up.

LaVonne and Dorene worked in El Dorado this past Tuesday.

Lavonne and Michele Boise were in Marion Wednesday. Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's in the afternoon. Attending were Leona Widler, Dorene Kirkpatrick, Maude Gaines, and Sherry Nightengale.

LaVonne was a supper guest of the Boises Thursday evening. Michele's grandparents were here from North Carolina.

Blaine and Carol Ammeter and friend John of Ellinwood arrived Saturday morning. Blaine and John went to the Kansas State football game and Carol and LaVonne went to the Abplanap reunion in Burns.

Sally and Myron Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived and Blaine and Todd came from Manhattan and they all spent the night.

Sunday morning Myron, Sally, and LaVonne flew to Charleston, S.C. to visit the new grandson, Jacob Robert Ammeter, his parents, and sisters. We stayed until Thursday and really had a great time. It rained all the time we were there, but we enjoyed the grandkids.

Myron and Sally went to Opal Craney's late Thursday afternoon and were overnight guests. Friday morning they went on to Wamego to visit Chad and Angela Bunger and Mitchell.

Luncheon guests of Maude Gaines Friday were Ike and Marie Clark and Margaret Matz.

Michele Boise visited LaVonne Friday morning and Chloe and Eric visited Friday afternoon.

Michele Montgomery and Maude Gaines visited LaVonne Saturday afternoon and Stan Ammeter was a supper guest.

We had church Sunday at Summit. Pastor Linda Wiley had a better-than-ever sermon. We had the following visitors to honor Leona Widler's 100th birthday: Jack Widler, Ron Kirkpatrick, Duane and Lori Kirkpatrick and Mathew and Jeff, Cindy and Kara Holt, Larry Kirkpatrick, and Ike and Marie Clark. The congregation sang "Happy Birthday" to Aunt Leona and Ike Clark.

Gary Davis of Newton was a dinner guest of LaVonne Sunday after church.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne attended a surprise birthday party Sunday afternoon for Ike Clark at the Burns Park.
