LaVonne picked up Joyce Kyle Monday afternoon and they attended the election school at Marion County Lake. Pat Nystrom joined them there.
Tuesday was election day. Joyce picked up LaVonne and they went to the Burns Community Building to join Norma Clark and Pat Nystrom to serve on the primary election board. Voters from Milton and Summit Township and Burns City totaled 42 voters. Of all the years I've served there's never been that few voters. It's very discouraging. Joyce and LaVonne took the ballots to Marion after the polls closed.
Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Those attending were Leona Widler, Dorene Kirkpatrick, Sherry Nightengale, and Maude Gaines.
Ike and Marie Clark stopped by LaVonne's Wednesday evening on their way to Mack and Shayla Clark's home.
LaVonne and Dorene Kirkpatrick spent Thursday shopping in Newton. Maude Gaines and Michele Boise visited LaVonne Thursday evening.
Maude Gaines joined members of the Clark and Banks family of El Dorado Thursday at the Burns Cafe for lunch.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne attended the Co-op appreciation lunch at Burns Community Building.
Kerrie Wiebe, Kenton, Natalia, Taryn, and Tiana visited LaVonne Friday afternoon. Later, Michele Boise brought Chloe and Dylan to visit LaVonne. Michele and Eric went to Hillsboro to the ladies' rodeo.
Melody and Steve Magette of Greensburg arrived Friday evening at the Ammeter farm to spend the night and Saturday. They joined LaVonne, Chloe and Dylan for supper. John Boise stopped by later to pick up Chloe and Dylan.
Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., came to spent Saturday night and Sunday at the Ammeter farm. Myron and Sally, LaVonne and Steve and Melody went to Hillsboro to pick up the Burns senior citizens' exhibits. They came back to Burns to eat at Buffalo Gulch. Melody and Steve left later in the evening for Greensburg.
Saturday dinner guests of LaVonne were Myron and Sally and Stan Ammeter. The Myron Ammeters left for Grand Island in late afternoon. They spent Friday night and Saturday with Sally's mom.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne visited Elise Title Sunday evening in Florence.
Joyce Kyle visited late Saturday evening with Myron and Sally and LaVonne.
