Saturday morning LaVonne, Carolyn Holm, and Kathryn Ireland and friend Lois went to the Kansas Sampler Festival in Newton. Wow! What a crowd and a very interesting fun day. Makes you realize what all our great state has to offer.

LaVonne was one of the members of the Twentieth Century Club at Burns who enjoyed a trip to McPherson April 26.

Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Attending were Dorene Kirkpatrick, Maude Gaines, and Sherry Nightengale. Donna McCoy of El Dorado was an afternoon visitor.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Newton Thursday for an appointment and shopping. In the afternoon they visited Ike and Marie Clark at the home of Jennifer Stucky.

LaVonne visited Friday morning at Legacy Park.

Sunday Maude Gaines and LaVonne attended church at Ebenezer and then went to Florence for lunch. They visited Elsie Tittle in the afternoon.

Stan Ammeter was a Sunday evening supper guest of LaVonne.

Don Gillet was a Sunday dinner guest of Brenda and Dennis Riggs and boys for the celebration birthdays of Jesse and Ethan. He visited LaVonne in the evening.

Granddaughter Angela Bunger called Sunday evening from Wamego. Later in the evening Kenneth Matheyer of Marshall, Texas, called and Bobbi Ann Wilson called with news of the Oklahoma cousins.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the families of Mr. Strait and James Brosemer.

Hope you all have a good week. How about this cool weather and the lovely rain?
