Maude Gaines and LaVonne went to Marion to doctor's appointments. LaVonne visited Maude Friday afternoon.
Saturday dinner guests of Maude were Troy and Sarah Abel and Hannah of Topeka.
Chad and Angela Bunger and Mitchell of Junction City and Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived Saturday morning at the Ammeter farm. Stan Ammeter also was a dinner guest. Steve and Melody Magette of Dodge City arrived in the late afternoon. Myron and Sally and Steve and Melody were overnight guests. Chad and Angela and Mitchell returned home.
Sally and Myron took Opal Craney with them Sunday morning to Summit United Methodist Church. Later in the afternoon, the trio went to Junction City to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with the Bungers. They all flew from Kansas City Monday morning to spend the rest of the week with Rob Ammeter in Simpsonville, S.C.
John and Michele Boese, Dylan and Eric stopped by LaVonne's late Sunday afternoon. They were on their way to spend Christmas Eve and day with family at Marion County Lake.
Kevin and Emily Haxton and Avery of Ellsworth arrived at the Ammeter farm late Sunday afternoon to spend the night and Christmas day. In the late afternoon, the Haxtons left for home and so did the Magettes.
Blaine and Carol Ammeter and Todd Ammeter of Ellinwood and B.J. and Jodi Ammeter of Overland Park arrived at LaVonne's to spend the night and eat Christmas supper. Other Christmas supper guests were Stan Ammeter, Melissa Ramsey and McKayla, Lee Shipman and boys, and Chris and Donna Ramsey, Ethan, Alex, and Isaac, all of Florence.
On Tuesday morning, Carol and Blaine and LaVonne went to Ebenezer church to attend Martha Wyss' funeral. Carol and Todd left for Ellinwood and B.J. and Jodi visited Stan Ammeter and then returned to Kansas City. Blaine and LaVonne went to Wichita to eat dinner with Carolyn and Jack Metz. All her children and grandchildren were there. Blaine left for home later in the evening.
Christmas dinner guests of Maude Gaines were Patti and Ronnie Gaines, Ty and Kim Gaines and Brooke of Madison, Sally and Jim Abel, Vicky and Dick Gantz, William, Cory, and Alison, all of Perry, Herb and Melinda Gaines of rural Cassoday, Shelly Harper of Inman; Jack Harper of Lawrence, Ben Harper of Manhattan, Jean Gaines of Holton, and Dusty Gaines of Wichita.
We extend our sympathy to the Wyss family for the loss of their mother and grandmother, Martha. She will be missed.
