Ammeter family meets for 15th reunion years ago
The 15th Ammeter family reunion was held May 28 at Burns Community Center.
Relatives came from Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas.
Susan Backus gave the blessing and the meal was served by Arletta Koehn.
Carolyn Metz, Kathryn Ireland, and LaVonne Ammeter took charge of the meeting. Each family introduced themselves and their families and updated the group on family news. Myron and Sally Ammeter announced they would be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday.
The afternoon was spent remembering the deceased, reminiscing about old times, taking pictures, and visiting.
The Sherwin Ammeter family had three children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren present. Four of Carolyn Metz's children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren attended. All three of Kathryn Ireland's children, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild were present.
