Angel Bunger of Minden, Neb., and Amy Drake of Lauderdale, Minn., arrived at their Grandma Ammeter's Monday afternoon. They were overnight guests. All went to Marion for supper and Stan Ammeter visited later in the evening.

Angela, Amy, LaVonne, and Opal Craney headed for Grand Island, Neb., Tuesday to spend several days at the home of Sally and Myron Ammeter. They had a very adventurous trip. After eating dinner in Salina, they had a tire blow out on the ramp heading back onto the interstate. A tow truck took them back to a filling station. Really had good service and were back on the road after an hour. We could never have changed the tire because the traffic was moving so fast. Wow! What an experience.

Myron and Sally went to Omaha Wednesday to meet Rob and Christi Ammeter and their daughter Samantha of Charleston, S.C. They flew in to spend the holiday. Great-grandmas Opal and LaVonne had a ball spoiling Samantha.

Fourth of July night visitors of the Ammeters were LaVonne, Opal, Amy Drake, and Angela and Chad Bunger. All watched the fireworks at the race track in the evening.

Steve and Melody Magette of Greensburg and Kevin and Emily Haxton of Ellsworth arrived at Grand Island Friday morning to visit the Myron Ammeters and their guests. The afternoon was spent visiting, taking pictures, and swimming in the lake.

Myron and Sally took Rob, Christi, and Samantha to Omaha Sunday morning to catch the airplane back to South Carolina. Amy and Doug Drake left for their home in Lauderdale, Minn., and Melody and Steve Magette brought Opal and LaVonne back to their homes, then headed back to Greensburg.

Maude Gaines attended church at Whitewater Center Sunday. Sally and Jim Abel of Holton visited Maude for a short time Sunday.

Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood were Sunday afternoon and supper guests. Don Gillet and Stan Ammeter were additional supper guests.

Ike and Marie Clark visited Maude Gaines Friday.

Stephen Gillet was an evening visitor of LaVonne Ammeter last Tuesday.

Joyce Hein of El Dorado has moved home to live with her mother, Laurie Rose. Joyce still is working at the Pioneer balloon factory in El Dorado.

Laura was in the El Dorado hospital Tuesday for tests and x-rays and back to the doctor on Friday. Joyce spent the weekend visiting her son Brad Hein and his family in Newton.

Laura called Rick Rose over the weekend to wish him a happy birthday.
