Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., and Rob and Christi Ammeter and that sweet, precious little great-granddaughter Samantha arrived at the Ammeter farm late Saturday afternoon. Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived later in the evening to spend the rest of the weekend. All went to the soup supper and quilt raffle at the Burns Community Building Saturday evening and enjoyed the delicious soup and visiting. Grandma LaVonne got to show off Samantha. The Magettes headed back to Greensburg later in the evening.
Sunday dinner guests of LaVonne were the Blaine Ammeters, Rob Ammeters, Myron Ammeters, Stanley Ammeter, and Opal Craney. The Nebraska Ammeters headed for home after dinner. Blaine and Carol went to visit Carol's parents, Don and Marge Gfeller.
LaVonne Ammeter went to Baker Funeral Home Sunday afternoon to visit the Vernon Nonken family. We send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Darlene and families.
I sure did enjoy Samantha. Great-grandma Opal and LaVonne and the aunts had a great time spoiling her. The Rob Ammeter family is moving to South Carolina, so we had to get in some extra spoiling. Grandchildren are great, but great-grandchildren are greater.
