Ladies Aid met last Wednesday at LaVonne's. Later in the afternoon Carolyn and Jack Metz came to pick up LaVonne and she went back to Wichita with them to spend the night. Carolyn and LaVonne flew out of Wichita Thursday morning — destination, Williamsburg, Va. Mary Sue Mayfield met their plane at Newport, Va.

Mary Sue, Carolyn, and LaVonne attended the quilt shows in Williamsburg Friday morning. Shuttle buses took them from one show to another. They saw beautiful quilts and many unusual ones. What a crowd! Wow! We went back Saturday morning. We ate lunch at NAWAB, an Indian restaurant. It was really good food and a lovely place.

We went to Hampton, Va., Sunday morning and ate lunch at a coffee beanery and attended a movie. We were back at Mary Sue and Mike's for supper and an evening of visiting.

We had beautiful weather and the jonquils and forsythias all were in bloom and there were pansies everywhere.

Early Monday morning, Mike took us to Newport to meet our flight. Fog moved in, so the flight was delayed and we missed our flight out of Atlanta to Wichita. After spending two and a half hours in the terminal at Atlanta, we had a great flight back to Wichita arriving in a snow storm! What a climax to a great four days.

LaVonne Ammeter visited Maude Gaines Tuesday morning. LaVonne visited her niece Donella Humphries in Florence Tuesday afternoon and they went to Marion shopping and on business.

Betty Kyle picked LaVonne up Thursday morning and they attended George Endres' funeral at Marion Holy Family Catholic Church. We had lunch at The Big Scoop and did some shopping.

Lisa Clark visited LaVonne Thursday evening. Josh Clark was a caller later in the evening.

Don Gillet visited LaVonne on Friday. Saturday visitors were Stan Ammeter, McKayla Oursler, and Isaac Ramsey. Later in the afternoon, Chris Ramsey and his friend Steve were visitors. Great-grandma had great fun with McKayla and Isaac. Sarah Sayres visited LaVonne Saturday evening.

Kathryn Ireland of Newton picked LaVonne up Sunday afternoon and they attended a bridal shower for Rhiannon Sykes, bride-elect of Bryan Hess. The shower was at the El Dorado Methodist church. Carolyn Holm and LaVonne were hostesses. Bryan is a great-nephew of LaVonne and Carolyn, and a grandson of Kathryn Ireland. Bryan and Rhiannon both are students at Pittsburg State University.

Well, March came in like a lion and we had some real winter. I talked to Myron in Nebraska and they had more than 12 inches of snow. Glad we only had three!

Sympathy and prayers go out to the George Endres family and the Entz families.
