Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Dorene Kirkpatrick came.
Michele Boese and Dylan came Thursday morning to decorate birthday cake for Legacy Park. They ate lunch with me. Stan came late afternoon and picked blackberries.
Friday afternoon Michele, Dylan, and I went to Legacy Park to deliver cake and stay for the party. We visited Aunt Nonie Widler, Maudie Gaines, and Don Gillet.
Sunday afternoon I visited there again. Whitewater Center Church had church services. Charles had a good message. I visited Aunt Nonie Widler, Donna Robb, Dorothy Whisler, Don Gillet, Emma Shaw, and Maude Gaines.
Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood spent the night. Stan joined us for supper.
Monday morning Blaine took me to El Dorado for a doctor's appointment and shopping. Stan joined us for lunch. The boys mowed and did lots of "sonny-do" jobs. After supper Blaine went home.
Saturday afternoon Sherry and Marvin Nightengale picked up LaVonne. They went to Pauline Nelson's funeral at Salem Methodist Church in Newton. We got to meet all the family. Reverend Wilmer and Pauline Nelson served the Summit Church for eight years. Pauline will be missed.
Congratulations to Howard and Jean Knaussman of El Dorado for 60 years of marriage.
Harvest is in full swing for the farmers. Always a busy time and the price is so good this year.
Hope you all have a good Fourth of July!
