Bryan Kantack, LaVonne's grandson, called from Colorado Springs, Colo., Tuesday evening to tell me little Bethany Erin was born and that mother and baby are fine. Wow! Another great-grandchild — the fourth.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne shopped Monday in Peabody. They were in Newton Tuesday for appointments and lunch.

Dorene Kirkpatrick, Sherry Nightengale, Maude Gaines, and guest Pastor Linda Willey were at LaVonne's Wednesday for Ladies Aid.

Stan Ammeter and Don Gillet were Wednesday supper guests.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne visited Thursday afternoon with Ike and Marie Clark. Granddaughter Angela Bunger called in the evening.

LaVonne and Donella Homphries were in Marion Friday on business.

LaVonne visited John and Michele Boese, Chloe, Eric, and Dylan Saturday evening.

Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood had supper and spent the evening Saturday with Don and Marjorie Gfeller. They were overnight guests of LaVonne.

Blaine, Carol, and Stan Ammeter were Sunday dinner guests of LaVonne.

Blaine and LaVonne attended the Herbert reunion at Peabody Senior Center and enjoyed visiting with cousins Billie, Diana, Charlie, and Stewart.

Blaine, Carol, and LaVonne watched the parade later in the afternoon and visited Arlen and Vonnie Gfeller and guests. The parade was great. We need to appreciate the people who put this all together.

LaVonne went with Blaine and Carol to Ruth Wright's for a taco supper with the Parsons, Wright, and Gfeller families. Later they enjoyed the fireworks display at the park. It's been several years since I've attended the spectacular show, and I mean it was spectacular. The best I've ever seen and I've been attending since I was a little girl. Peabody has so much to be proud of and it didn't rain.

Blaine and Carol spent the night Sunday and left for Ellinwood Monday afternoon.

Hope you all have a good week!
