Maude Gaines and LaVonne Ammeter were in Florence Wednesday for hair appointments.
LaVonne went to Peabody to meet Angela Bunger and Mitchell of Junction City and grandma Opal Craney at the Korner Kitchen for lunch. Angela and Mitchell came to the Ammeter farm in the afternoon and were supper guests. Stan Ammeter joined them. They left for Junction City late in the afternoon. Despite the terrible windy day, Great-Grandma enjoyed playing with Mitchell. Had a really great day.

Melody and Steve Magette of Dodge City arrived late Saturday afternoon at the Ammeter farm to spend the weekend. We ate supper at Town & Country Café in Florence. Other Saturday evening guests were Stan Ammeter and Chris and Donna Ramsey, Isaac, Alex, and Ethan of Florence. The great-grandkids had fun catching lightning bugs.
We had church Sunday morning at Summit. As usual, Pastor David had a really good message. We had several guests attend. Steve and Melody Magette, Dan and Kerri Wiebe, Natalia, Taryn, Tiana, and Kenton and Mary Olson of Marion, and The Rev. Charles and Jan Hadley of Wichita. Chuck was a student minister at Summit starting in 1953.
Sunday dinner guests of LaVonne were Melody and Steve, Mary Olson, Stan Ammeter, and the Hadleys. We had so much fun reminiscing about Chuck's ministry at Summit. Sure did have a great day.

LaVonne visited Maudie Monday afternoon.
Dan and Kerri Wiebe, Kenton, Taryn, Tiana, and Natalia attended the Emmaus Mennonite Church picnic Sunday in the Peabody park. It was the end of Bible school picnic. There were more than 200 people attending. Wow!
Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived Tuesday morning at the Ammeter farm to spend the day. Blaine took LaVonne to an eye appointment in El Dorado. Stan and Blaine spent the day mowing and doing sonny-do jobs. They were both supper guests.
