We didn't have Ladies Aid because I was leaving on a trip. Stan took me to El Dorado where I met Carolyn Metz and we headed for Chandler, Okla. We arrived late Wednesday afternoon at the home of Sue Rockley. Bobba Wilson joined us and we stayed overnight.

The next morning we headed out for Marshall, Texas, to cousins, Kenneth and Betty Mattheyer. We arrived late afternoon and had a great grilled steak supper. The next day we spent visiting.

The next two days we went sightseeing. We went to the Black Bayou. They had a cabin there. We ate at a seafood place and the next day we went to Shreveport, La., to the Boardwalk and ate at the casino seafood buffet and went to the casino. What a big place. Wow!

Coming back to Chandler, we drove through the azalea park at Muskogee, Okla. Wow, were they beautiful. We arrived back at Chandler early in the evening and spent the night with Cousin Sue.

Got back to the Ammeter farm late Monday afternoon. We were very tired travelers but had a great time. We were glad to be home.

Michele Boese took LaVonne to Marion Tuesday for physical therapy and shopping.

Stan and I went to Peabody Tuesday afternoon for medicine and visited Maudie Gaines.

Hasn't the weather been great? We send prayers and sympathy to the Dallke family at the loss of their loved one and wish Bruce Sayers a good recovery.
