LaVonne met Kathryn Ireland of Newton at Don Gfeller's and they went to El Dorado to join Carolyn Metz and Julane Hiebert for lunch and visiting. We had a real good time. Wanda Howard and her husband met LaVonne there to get the Gillet history.
Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Sherry, Dorene, and Maude attended.
Stan Ammeter was a Saturday evening supper guest of LaVonne's.
Maude and LaVonne were shopping in Peabody Friday before the snow.
We had church Sunday at Summit. Pastor David had an exceptionally good message.
Stan Ammeter was a Sunday dinner guest and Don Gillet was an afternoon visitor.
LaVonne and Maude Gaines attended the anniversary celebration Sunday for the Mellotts and the Warkentines. They were really lovely celebrations. I saw lots of people I hadn't seen for a long time. Later in the afternoon, we visited Elsie Tittle in Florence.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne went to Florence to Shear Success to get our hair fixed.
Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Sherry, Dorene, and Maude attended.
Mary Sue Mayfield of Quinton, Va., is visiting LaVonne. She went to Emporia to a job fair all day Wednesday. We cleaned the church Wednesday evening and checked out the asparagus.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Marion Thursday on business and doctors' appointments. We ate lunch at The Big Scoop. We looked out the window and it was snowing and wow! It snowed on us all the way to Peabody and home and all night. What a surprise!
Mary Sue and Carolyn Metz arrived at the Ammeter farm late that afternoon. They were supper and overnight guests. We attended Maundy Thursday services at Summit church. Pastor Davis had a lovely service. Nelson and Norma Patton and mm Ed Slocombe attended our services. We all braved the snow.
Carolyn, Mary Sue, and I headed for Great Bend early Friday morning. We stopped at Ellinwood at Blaine and Carole's office to visit awhile. We visited Amber and Cory Morgan, Alexis, Adria, and little C.J. We had lunch and made a bunny cake with the girls. We visited Kathryn Ireland in Newton on our way home and Carolyn went back to Wichita. We visited Gary Branham in Peabody on the way home.
Saturday morning, Mary Sue left for Wichita and the home of Carolyn and Jack Metz to spend the night. She flew out for Quinton, Va., Sunday afternoon. I sure did enjoy her visit.
Melody and Steve Magette of Dodge City arrived Saturday afternoon at the Ammeter farm to spend the night and Easter Sunday. Later in the afternoon, Kevin and Emily Haxton and my dear great-grandson Avery of Ellsworth arrived. Supper guests of LaVonne were the Haxtons, Magettes, and Stan Ammeter.
Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood, B.J. and Jodi Ammeter of Overland Park, and Todd Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived late Saturday afternoon to spend the night and Easter at LaVonne's.
Easter Sunday dinner guests of LaVonne's were Blaine and Carol Ammeter, Todd Ammeter, Stan Ammeter, B.J. and Jodi Ammeter, Melody and Steve Magette, Adam and Crystal Magette of Olathe, Kevin and Emily Haxton and Avery, Gary Davis of Newton, Chris Ramsey, Alex and Ethan, and Melissa Ramsey and Lee Shipman. Donna Ramsey was an afternoon guest. We really had a great day.
Maude Gaines was a Sunday dinner guest of Ronnie and Patti Gaines. She enjoyed little great-granddaughter Brooke, Kim and Ty Gaines, and Dusty Gaines.
Maude and LaVonne went to the senior citizens' dinner Tuesday at the Burns Community Building. Had a big crowd and lots of good food.
Bob Hartnagel and Michele Montgomery took Stan Ammeter to El Dorado Tuesday evening for supper.
Kerri Wiebe visited LaVonne Monday afternoon.
