Sandi Fritz visited LaVonne Wednesday afternoon. Stan visited later in the evening.
Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Maude, Dorene, and Sherry attended.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Marion Thursday afternoon to pick up their income tax.
LaVonne picked up Maude Gaines, Don, and Marie Clark Friday evening and went to Arletta's at Burns for supper to celebrate Maude's 95th birthday. Others attending were Mary Olson of Marion, Marge and Fordyce Gray, Tony and Gwen Gaines, J.D. and MaryBeth Gaines, Norma and Leroy Riggs, Sherry and Marvin Nightengale, Ron and Dorene Kirkpatrick, Carol Reynolds, Margaret Matz, and Ronnie and Patti Gaines. All had such a good time visiting and fun walking down memory lane.
Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived Friday evening to spend the weekend at the Ammeter farm.
Saturday dinner and supper guests of LaVonne were Blaine and Carol Ammeter, Sally and Myron Ammeter, Mitchell Bunger, and Stan Ammeter. Myron and Sally went back to Junction City Saturday evening to take care of great-grandson Mitchell. Wow, did we have a good day playing with Mitchell.
Blaine and Carol went to Ebenezer to church Sunday morning then were dinner guests of Don and Marjorie Gfeller. LaVonne joined them for dinner.
Marie Clark and LaVonne went to Peabody Monday morning. Dorene Kirkpatrick and LaVonne went to Hillsboro Monday afternoon.
LaVonne visited Maude late Monday afternoon.
Shelly Harper picked up her mom, Maude Gaines Saturday morning and they went to Perry to the home of Sally and Jim Abel to spend the weekend. Sunday, all the family had birthday dinner for Maude at Troy and Sarah Abel's.
Tuesday afternoon visitors of LaVonne were Pat and Kenneth Phillip of El Dorado, Willard Larsen of Wichita, and Ron and Dorothy Widler of Marion. They were planning the class reunion of classes 1948-49-50 from Burns High School to be held Memorial Day weekend.
Maude Gaines attended a dinner at the Trinity church in El Dorado. Others attending were Bill and Marie Clark, Sherry and Marv Nightengale, Norma and Leroy Riggs, Marie Clark, Margaret Matz, Joyce Barker, John Hart, and Sonny and Joan Clark. They celebrated several birthdays.
Sure was a nice little rain we had. So nice to see some mud.
Prayers and sympathy to the McClure family in the loss of their mother and grandmother, Thelma.
