Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Sherry Nightengale, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Maude Gaines attended. Carolyn Metz of Wichita arrived late Wednesday afternoon to spend the night.

Carolyn and I went to Marion Thursday to visit Laura at the nursing home. We took her out to dinner. We visited with Rubena Jost and Mabel Shaw while there. Carolyn returned to Wichita late in the afternoon.

Saturday was a nasty day. Stan Ammeter was an evening guest.

Carolyn Metz, Rose Watts of Agency, Mo., Mary Sue Mayfield of Virginia, and Kathryn Ireland of Newton arrived Sunday morning at the Ammeter farm for lunch. They celebrated Carolyn's 70th birthday. Lots of fun and picture-taking and reminiscing took place. They all returned to Newton and Wichita late that afternoon. Stan came Sunday evening to clean sidewalks and hurt his back. He was a supper guest.

Adam and Crystal Magette arrived Monday at the Ammeter farm for lunch. They had been to Dodge City to see Steve and Melody and were on their way back to Olathe. Sure helped me get through a sad day.

John Boese visited LaVonne Monday morning to clean my sidewalks. Such a good neighbor.

Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived Tuesday morning to spend the day and night. We went to El Dorado for my eye appointment and shopping.

Mary Sue Mayfield of Virginia arrived Tuesday afternoon to spend the night and Wednesday.

Blaine visited Stan Tuesday evening.

How about this winter weather? We were lucky we escaped the ice.
