Alice Hansen
Alice Lucile Homan Hansen, 83, died June 15, 2008, at Dallas, Texas.
Born Oct. 18, 1924, at Newton, she was the daughter of Harry and Blanche Homan.
She graduated from Peabody High School in 1943, and from the Electronic Radio-Television Institute at Omaha, Neb. She was a Teletype operator for the U.S. Army Air Force in Wichita from 1944-45, and a Western Union Telegraph Co. operator in 1946.
She was a VA hospital volunteer, certified nurse's aide, and medical secretary.
On Feb. 20, 1945, she married Lawrence Hansen at Boston, Mass. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter, Karen "Huggy" and husband Dr. Bill "Bear" Nelson of Denton, Texas; son, Dr. Phillip and wife Wendy Hansen of Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren.
A remembrance reception is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. June 25 in the Veranda Room at The Veranda Preston Hollow, Dallas TX.
A private burial was held at DFW National Cemetery.
