Albert and Hazel Smith celebrate 60th anniversary years ago
The family of Albert and Hazel Smith celebrated the couple's 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 21 at the home of Shreves and Mary Avery.
Albert and Hazel were married Aug. 22, 1944, in El Reno, Okla.
Hosting the event was the couple's children and spouses, Mary (Smith) and Shreves Avery and Albert and Carol Smith, all of Peabody, and Anna (Smith) and Max Bahre of Wichita.
Grandchildren attending were Maranda Avery, Andy and Gina Jacobs and Brian Smith of Wichita, Quentin Bahre and Stacy Hamilton of Sioux Falls, S.D., Leah Suellentrop and great-granddaughter, Tristan, of Chicago, Ill., David Bahre and Kim Farmer of Manhattan, Sarah Smith of Peabody, and Justin Struthers of Clearwater.
Also attending were Hazel's sister and brothers, Chris and Glenn Schwab of Del City, Okla., and Chet and Mary Lou Overholser and Jerry and Barbara Overholser of El Reno, Okla.
Albert's brother, Frank and Louella Smith of Norfolk, Neb., also attended as did numerous nieces and nephews from Oklahoma and Nebraska.
