Alan Yock installed as Yoder's replacement
In a meeting open only briefly to the public Monday night, the Peabody City Council cast a unanimous ballot to elect Alan Yock to fill the vacancy left by Tammie Yoder's resignation Dec. 9.
Yock was sworn in by City Clerk Cindy Harms and took his place at the council table. He will serve until the term expires in March 2003.
After approving the appropriations and the night's agenda, the council went into a series of executive sessions for the purpose of employee evaluations.
Employees listed on the agenda for discussion of the council on their job performance were City Clerk Harms, City Treasurer Stephanie Ax, and three members of the water and maintenance crew, Darren Pickens, Dennis Pickens, and Gary Markham.
No action was taken by the council on its return to open meeting.
The next meeting will be Dec. 30 when employees Jeff Pohlman and Ronnie Harms will go through the evaluation process with councilmembers. Regular agenda items will also be addressed.
