Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Angela M. Spellman, 42, Emporia, was westbound on U.S.-56 near Kanza in a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban at 5:15 p.m. March 13, when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck. Ron Smith, 73, Hayley Spellman, 10, and Sydney Spellman, 6, all of the same address, were passengers. Marion County Undersheriff Randal Brazil reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.
