Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Russel E. Funk, 38, 983 Indigo, Peabody, was northbound on Indigo near 140th in a 1999 Chevrolet 1500 pickup at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 when a deer came from an east ditch and was struck. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Jim Philpott reported there were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages.

Mandy L. Bock, 28, Hutchinson, was eastbound on U.S.-56 near Eagle in a 2000 Chevrolet Impala at 5:35 p.m. Feb. 25 when she had a sharp pain in her head and attempted to pull off the road. According to Marion County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey, the driver became unconscious, entered a south ditch, and struck a power pole. Bock was transported by Hillsboro EMS to Hillsboro Community Medical Center. There was more than $1,000 in damages.

Susan G. Wadkins, 51, 221 N. Main, Hillsboro, was backing on to Cedar Street in a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer at 6:41 p.m. Feb. 28 when her vehicle struck a 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis that was legally parked on the city street. The parked vehicle was owned by Barbra E. Smith, 201 S. Cedar, Hillsboro. Hillsboro Police Officer Brad Richards reported there were no injuries and less than $1,000 in damages.

A parked vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle at 12:30 p.m. March 1. The owner of the parked vehicle, Jody Armstrong Raindl Burke, 403 S. Third, Marion, reported the incident at 5:08 p.m. to Officer Richards. The incident occurred while the 1998 Mercury Sable was parked in the parking lot of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church at 300 Prairie Pointe, Hillsboro.

Crystal L. Ware, 32, 687 310th, Durham, was northbound on Diamond near 340th in a 2005 Ford Escape at 7:10 p.m. March 1 when the vehicle hit ruts in a snow drift and entered an east ditch, hitting two steel fence posts. There were no injuries and more than $1,000 in damages, reported Deputy Starkey.

Paula J. Webber, 50, Rose Hill, was southbound on Sunflower Road near 140th in a 1999 Ford Windstar at 6:52 p.m. March 2 when a deer came from a west ditch and was struck and killed by the vehicle. Serina Webber, 13, of the same address, and Adrianne Marshall, 13, 1124 S. Weldon, Marion, were passengers. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Jim Philpott reported there were no injuries
