ABCs of celebrating July Fourth

It's time to enjoy the 83rd annual July Fourth celebration in Peabody. Some of the scheduled events have been taking place every year since the celebration's beginning. Some events are new. The intention is to keep residents and visitors entertained and busy all weekend.
Activities are available to create another list of Peabody ABCs
A — Alumni dance, American Legion color guard, aerials
B — Barbecues, "Battle of New Orleans," buttons
C — Carnival, classic cars, cotton candy
D — Dog show, Doyle Valley Farmer's Market
E — Eight decades of celebrations, eagle, enthusiasm
F — Fabulous fireworks, flying flags, fun
G — Gazette will have the full schedule of events next week
H — Horseshoe tournament, homemade ice cream, happy kids
I — Indeed, a great weekend in Peabody
J — Jesse Seibel's Statue of Liberty float
K — Kids' games, Kiwanis flea market
L — Live music, "Let Freedom Ring," lawn chairs
M — Memories in the making, McDowell's clever commentary
N — Noisy holiday, nap under the trees
O — Organ grinder and monkey on Walnut Street and at the park
P — Peabody pride, parade, picnics
