Round the Town: Steiners enjoy visit from son

Rex Steiner from United Arab Emirates spent a week with his parents, Gene and Beryl Steiner and other family and friends. Additional Sunday dinner guests were the Perry Steiner family of Marion and the Stephen Kieffer family of Clifton.
Kent and Emily Nichols of Hesston visited Friday evening at the home of Paul and Arlene Pankratz.
Bill and Betty Meier, accompanied by Bob Whitney of Newton, went Sunday to Shawnee Mission to help Betty's sister, Eunice Klein celebrate her birthday.
Weekend guests at the home of Bonnie Fast were Rachel Fast of Arvada, Colo., and Justin and Erica Fulton of Broomfield, Colo. They came to attend Tabor College homecoming weekend.
Johnny Hamm and a friend from Denver, Colo., were weekend guests at the home of Wilbur and Florence Hett. Additional supper guests Thursday were Delbert and Carolyn Hamm and Duane and Shirley Hamm. Johnny is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Hamm of Colby.
Oliver and Marcella Mohn, Tim and Donna Diener, and Paul and Arlene Pankratz, all of Hillsboro, Gus and Mildred Hamm and the Jim Hamm family of Tampa took supper Tuesday evening to Gaylord and Valera Hamm at Durham to celebrate Gaylord and Valera's September birthdays.

Kelly and Gracie Gulker and children from Germany and Clinton and Evelyn Seibel of Hillsboro were Saturday dinner guests of Irene Seibel. The Gulkers are in the military and have been stationed in Germany for seven years. They now will live in Manhattan.

Alexanderfeld Church had a basket dinner Sunday in honor of Carolyn Jantz' parents who are visiting from Plymouth, S.D. Carolyn is one of the teachers at Hope Valley School, rural Hillsboro.

Dave and Mary Lancaster helped their son Dirk and wife move from Lindsborg to Salina over the weekend.

Others attending were Carol Ollenburger, Geraldine Frick, Betty Meier, Virginia Fadenrecht, Mary Helen Becker, Arlene Pankratz, Shirley Hamm, Doris David, Frances Unruh, and Mary Lancaster.

Norma Ballard of Topeka was a houseguest from Thursday to Sunday at the Duane Hamm home. Duane, Shirley, and Norman attended a Garlow family reunion Saturday at Hazelton. This was the 42nd reunion and approximately 44 attended, coming from a number of different states.
Eight members of the Farmerettes Club met Monday at the home of Ruth Ann Penner. Ruth Ann had a lesson on cooking for one or two persons which included tasting different recipes.
