Round the town: Many enjoy guest speaker Burnham

Learning in Retirement at Tabor College had above average attendance for the weekly Monday meeting. The guest speaker was Gracia Burnham. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Burnham, Gracia, and her secretary, Joyce Middleton, were dinner guests of Connie Isaac at the college cafeteria.
Malvina and Brittany Heinrichs of Broken Arrow, Larry Schmidt of McPherson, and Malvin and Darlene Schmidt attended a Saturday retirement party. Darlene's sister Ima Elwells retired from the Inman school system.
Celia Gross returned home Wednesday from Sioux Falls, S.D., after visiting her sister Ida Gross. They attended the musical "Sound of Music" in which their great-niece, Kaylee Gross, 5, played the part of Gretl.
Malvina and Brittany Heinrichs of Oklahoma, Larry Schmidt of McPherson, Jerry Schmidt of Salina, Wilma Schmidt, and Bob and Lucreta Vance and family were guests Sunday for an early Easter dinner hosted by Malvin and Darlene Schmidt.
Willabeth Gonzales of Newton, Agnes Bernhardt, Pastor Wiens, Oliver and Frances Unruh, Pearl Koch, Edie Ollenburger, Geneive Belton, and Karen Elliot were recent visitors of Bill and Betty Meier.
Ruth VanderWilt accompanied Esther Wiebe and daughter Melanie to Iowa. Esther and Melanie visited family in Iowa City. Ruth was a houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Brand at Pella, Iowa.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Warkentin and Elma attended an engagement celebration for Lesle Carter and Luke Warkentin of Salina. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Warkentin, parents of Luke, were hosts.
Tim and Donna Diener, and Paul and Arlene Pankratz provided cake and ice cream Tuesday evening for Kent's birthday celebration at the home of Kent and Emily Nichols at Hesston.
