Round the Town: Hetts celebrate anniversary in Kansas City

Wilbur and Florence Hett accompanied Alvin and Arlene Hett to Kansas City this past weekend to celebrate Wilbur and Florence's 10th wedding anniversary. They attended a dinner theatre on Saturday and church services Sunday morning.
Rick and Kim Riffel of Phillipsburg were Oct. 29 guests of Alvin and Arlene Hett.
Pauline Winter recently attended a birthday party at the home of Heidi Jenkins to celebrate Pauline's great-grandson's fourth birthday. On Sunday she was a guest for a birthday party for her great-grandson, Colby Meier's 13th birthday at the home of his parents, Thane and Holly Meier at Lehigh. There were other guests at both parties.
Edwin and Alice Winter were among those from Hillsboro who attended the annual senior board meeting and dinner Thursday in Marion.
Melvin Jantz of Moundridge, a former northwest of Durham resident, died and his memorial service was held Tuesday at Moundridge at Zion Mennonite Church. Melvin is Darlene Unruh's brother. Sympathy is extended to the family.
Dave and Shirley Weibert were Saturday dinner guests at the home of Warren and Carol Weibert in Manhattan. Additional guests were Dave and Lucille Becker and Dick and Gladys Vresen of Longmont, Colo.
Clarence and Betty Penner of Huron, S.D., have been houseguests for the past week at the home of Alma and Clara Toews. Betty is a sister to Alma and Clara. They also visited other family and friends in the area. Additional Sunday dinner guests were Marvin and Pearl Ensz and Verna and Carol Ensz of Hillsboro.
Bill and Betty Meier visited Tuesday evening at the Paul Pankratz home.
Correction from last week — Galen and Rachel Fast of Arvada, Colo., and Justin and Erica Fulton of Broomfield, Colo., were weekend guests of Bonnie Fast's. Galen's name was omitted from the list.
