Get a Clue: Library s summer reading program begins Tuesday

The Peabody Library is calling all sleuths to "Get a Clue at Your Library," at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Ann Potter Room.

Families will work together as an investigative team in fun training exercises to become Peabody Private Eyes.

As Peabody Private Eyes, youth and adults will be members of the 2007 summer reading program and eligible for prizes and more fun through July 13.

Those unable to attend the kickoff event may visit the library during regular hours to pick up materials and sign up for story time.

The first story time session is at 1 p.m. June 12 in the Ann Potter Room. Children up to sixth grade may bring older friends or family along to help with activities.

Story time will be held at 1 p.m. each Tuesday through July 13. Children are encouraged to stay and read or play games after the sessions.

The reading program will conclude at 7 p.m. July 13 with "Who Dunnit?" Family Mystery Night.

Library hours are Monday through Friday, 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
