Two men, whose names were not learned, can thank their lucky stars for a safe landing about the middle of the forenoon today — Wednesday — when their plane landed in the stone crusher of Lewis & Sons, just east of Florence.

As a general rule, Florence is fairly free from petty thievery, but one evening last week a Florence woman placed some meat in a big crock under a tub on her back porch. Two hours later she went to get it and found the meat and crock gone. The next day she saw the crock in her neighbor's kitchen.
