Twentieth Century Club met Monday evening at Betty Kyle's. Sherry Nightengale picked up Joyce Kyle, Lois Sayers, LaVonne Ammeter, and Dorene Kirkpatrick. It was a fun-filled evening and delicious refreshments. It was the first meeting since June so everyone was full of stories.

Dorene Kirkpatrick and LaVonne Ammeter worked in El Dorado Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived Tuesday evening to spend the night. Stan and Blaine fixed fence around the corral on Wednesday. Additional lunch guest was Don Gillet. Michele Montgomery and Bob Huren were visitors.

Blaine and LaVonne met Sally and Myron Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., at Opal Craney's Wednesday evening to get some tomatoes they had brought. They visited a short while before Myron, Sally, and Opal left for Wichita to fly out early Thursday morning for Charleston, S.C. They went to visit, see, and spoil the new grandchild, Alison Danielle, daughter of Rob and Christi. They will return home on Monday. I hope they bring some pictures.

Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon at LaVonne's. Sherry Nightengale, Leona Widler, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Maude Gaines came to quilt.

Sharon Spurrier of Howard spent Thursday afternoon at the Ammeter home. She and LaVonne made flowers all afternoon and chatted a lot.

B.J. Ammeter and Jody Wolf of Manhattan came Friday afternoon to Grandma LaVonne's to spend the evening and were overnight guests. They visited Stan Ammeter late evening and headed back to Manhattan.

Stan Ammeter and McKayla Oursler spent Sunday morning with LaVonne. Melissa Ramsey came for McKayla and visited in the afternoon.

Maude Gaines and LaVonne and McKayla attended church Sunday morning at Whitewater Center.

Maude Gaines went to Peabody senior center Monday and quilted.

Don Gillet was a Thursday lunch guest of LaVonne.

Betty Kyle and LaVonne visited Carol and Blondie Logan Thursday afternoon. Other visitors were Irwin and Maxine Ulsh of Newton. They were helping the Logans get ready for their sale Oct. 12.

Tom Wunderlick of Marion was a Sunday visitor of Carol and Blondie Logan. He was helping them get ready for their farm sale.
