Year-end events slated for USD 398

Peabody-Burns Elementary School students will participate in Field Day from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

PBES students will present “Let’s Sing, America!” at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Brown Gymnasium. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade will perform patriotic and folk songs of the United States and there will be narrations given by student speakers. Students have learned to perform on various classroom instruments and their presentations also will be featured.

The last day of school is May 12. PBES students will have an awards assembly at 8:30 a.m. and the Butler picnic will be during regular lunch time.

At 2 p.m. Peabody-Burns Middle School students (grades 6 and 7) will have an awards assembly, and 8th grade promotion is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Brown Gymnasium.

Peabody-Burns bands from fifth grade to high school will perform at the McPherson All-Schools parade May 13. The parade begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.

The class of 2016 will be honored at a Baccalaureate service at 10:45 a.m. May 15 in Brown Gymnasium, sponsored by Peabody Association of Churches. Graduation will begin at 4 p.m., also in Brown Gymnasium.
