Wilma E. Kandt

Wilma Kandt, 77, of Woodbine died Monday at her home.

She was born March 11, 1934, at Talmage to Clarence H. and Etta H. (Watt) Bowyer. Kandt was a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1952.

She married Glenn J. Kandt on June 1, 1952, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shady Brook. He survives at home. She is also survived by a daughter, Colleen Neely of Chanute; a son, Kevin Kandt of Berlin; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother and her parents.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Herington, with Rev. John Riebhoff officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

The family requests memorials to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and they can be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crenmatory, Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington.
