The Rev. William J. Nelsen, 95, died Nov. 2, 2011, at The Cedars Retirement Community in McPherson.

He was born Feb. 29, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn., to William and Louise Fehr Nelsen. He married Marjory Gregory on Sept. 7, 1946. She preceded him in death, along with a son, David, and siblings Theodore Nelsen and Lorraine Boynton.

He is survived by a son, Gregory Nelsen of Charlottesville, Va.

A memorial service was held Saturday at Marion Presbyterian Church. A memorial fund has been established for Westminster Woods Church Camp in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion, KS 66861.
