WEDDING:   Wiebe, Lightner

Lindsay Wiebe of Peabody, daughter of Randall and Raeanne Wiebe of Peabody, married Brian Lightner of Peabody, son of Gene and Carol Lightner of Inman, on June 30 at Zion Mennonite Church, Elbing. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Ryan Mackey, cousin of the groom.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Peabody-Burns High School. She has a bachelors’ degree and a master’s degree, both from Kansas State University. She is a speech-language pathologist at Marion County Special Education Cooperative in Marion.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Inman High School. He has a bachelor’s degree from Tabor College and a master’s degree from Fort Hays State University. He is a mathematics teacher and coach at Peabody-Burns High School.

The bride’s flowers were yellow and white daisy mums and wheat.

Sister of the bride Rebecca Ensz of Potwin was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were sisters of the groom Melanie Haspels of Halstead and Jodi Lightner of Billings, Mont., and friend of the couple Bonnie Brewer of Elbing.

Friend of the groom Jarod Richardson of Owasso, Okla., was the best man. Groomsmen were friend of the groom Tracy Wehrman of Derby, brother-in-law of the groom Chuck Haspels, and brother of the bride Ryan Wiebe of Elizabethtown, Ky.

Cousin of the bride Grace Hein was the flower girl. Nephew of the groom Johnathan Haspels of Halstead was the ring bearer.

Derek Klingeberg, Grant Klingenberg, and Joshua Andrew, all of Peabody, and Wesley Brewer of Elbing were ushers.

Gladys Wiebe was the pianist. Vocalists were cousin of the groom Staci Horton and a men’s quartet of friends of the couple Derek Klingenberg, Grant Klingenberg, Wesley Brewer, and Joshua Andres.

Evelyn Buller of North Newton and Herbert and Delilah Wiebe of Elbing are grandparents of the bride. Abe Theissen of Inman is grandfather of the groom.

The wedding reception was at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, rural Newton.
