Peabody health and sanitation officer Tammy Whiteside has assumed the duties of animal control officer, effective Aug. 1, according to police chief Bruce Burke. Burke said Whiteside’s city issued cell phone number is available on the city web site (www.peabodyks.com). That number will be the fastest way to get in touch with her if questions arise about dangerous or suspicious animals.
Police officers took a report July of suspicious activity. The case is under investigation.
A case involving two inoperable vehicles was filed July 28 with the city prosecutor and officers investigated a report of criminal trespass.
The following day a report of criminal damage to property was taken and that case also is under investigation.
Police arrested an individual July 30 on a Peabody Municipal Court warrant.
During a routine traffic stop Thursday a person was arrested for driving with a revoked driver’s license.
A non-injury accident was investigated Saturday at Peabody Market parking lot.
