Weekend cruises scheduled monthly

Hot rods, motorcycles, and ordinary cars and pickups are on display monthly at Hillsboro and Peabody for anyone to enjoy.

Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce and community sponsors present a two-hour cruise from 6 to 8 p.m. the second Saturday of the month.

From shiny rods to those that could win an ugly car contest, and every car and truck in between, the event features a meal, music, photo opportunities, soda, water, and treats.

Spectators line sidewalks enjoying catching up with each other as well as the sights and sounds.

Peabody’s monthly cruise is targeted for motorcycles and hot rods.

A morning event, it takes place from 8 a.m. to noon every fourth Sunday of the month.

Vendors sell food and other items.
