Peabody-Burns Junior High School football team competed Thursday at home. The team lost to Little River, 52-8. Up next is the final game of the season against Centre at home.
Little River scored five times in the first half of the contest but PBHS offense went without a score. Little River led 38-0 at halftime.
The Junior Warriors’ defense made a move early in the second half. Andrew Wedel stripped the ball from the Little River running back and ran 47 yards for a touchdown. Austin Reynolds ran for the two-point conversion.
More offense from Little River added two more scores in the final half of the game. The Junior Warriors were defeated, 52-8.
