Warriors volleyball faces Goessel and Rural Vista

Staff writer

Peabody-Burns Warriors volleyball battled Goessel and Rural Vista at Rural Vista Sept. 15.

Peabody faced Goessel first, losing in two sets to the Bluebirds, but the Warriors didn’t let their loss define the rest of the evening.

“They came out pretty fired up after losing to Goessel in two sets,” head coach Sheena Gann said. “They stayed really positive because it was not a very high scoring game.”

The Warriors came back to win the first set against Rural Vista, lost the second, and won the third.

“They stayed really positive,” Gann said. “I was really proud of them for not being down after losing. They picked themselves back up and went back and did really well so I was very proud.”

Gann said she was proud of how her team competed against Goessel.

“My freshman have not seen any competition like (Goessel),” Gann said. “Goessel is known for their hard hitters and my girls played well and I was really impressed with that.”
