Want to move from employee to employer?

Free workshop later this month may help

A free workshop in Emporia this month is designed to help residents interested in starting their own small business.

The two-hour workshop Jan. 26 will offer information about marketing, management, and money that will help participants assess the feasibility of their ideas and start writing business plans.

The sessions will also explain how new small businesses can get free assistance from the Kansas Small Business Development Center at Emporia State University.

The workshop will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Lyon County Extension Office, 2632 W. Highway 50, Emporia, KS. Registration is required by Jan. 19.
