Luba Holm-Brinkman was the winner Saturday of the Christmas tree wall hanging created and quilted by the Peabody Quilt Group.
The group of women get together weekly during the year to create small and large quilts, place mats, novelty gift items, wall hangings, table runners, and other stitched and quilted items.
During the holiday season, they sell what they have made and the money is put aside to repair or purchase playground equipment at Peabody City Park.
“We can always use more volunteers to help sew, press, or cut fabric,” group member Verna Mosiman said.
Anyone interested in helping with the project can contact Mosiman at (620) 983-9126 or at the Scissor Cottage at 106 E. Second St.
