Father Aaron Vinduska, formerly of the Pilsen area, will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen and possibly other Masses
“The hope is that he will be able to celebrate all three weekend Masses,” Holy Family Parish secretary Rose Davidson said Tuesday.
Father Darrin May hadn’t been able to sit down with Vinduska to discuss whether he would celebrate Mass at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Florence or 8:30 a.m. Sunday in Marion, Davidson said.
It will be Vinduska’s first time celebrating Mass in his hometown since his ordination last year in Rome, Italy. He was high school-age when he began studying to become a priest, Davidson said.
Vinduska belongs to the Legion of Christ order. Don and Jeannie Vinduska are his parents.
