Twentieth Century Club of Burns held its first meeting of the season at the home of Lois Sayers. The club collect and Pledge of Allegiance were recited. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and the treasurer’s report was given.
The new yearbooks were distributed to members.
For the program, members shared what they did during the summer. It was generally agreed that it was too hot to spend much time in the gardens. Reunions were attended and anniversaries were observed.
The highlight event was Virgil Clark’s trip to Washington D. C. to visit the World War II Memorial as a guest of the Honor Flight organization. Virgil was accompanied by his son, Charles.
Twentieth Century Club members in attendance were Rhonda Brenzikofer, Dorene Kirkpatrick, Sherol Nightengale, Norma Clark, Marie Clark, LaVonne Ammeter, and Joyce Kyle.
