Track squads place in Friday meets

Baliel 2nd in pole vault for Marion

Anne Baliel finished second in pole vault Friday during Beloit Relays and was fifth in 200 meter dash.

Heidi Grimmett placed third in 800m run for Marion High girls.

For the boys, Chance Shults placed second in 100 meter hurdles and teammate Campbell Winter was in third place.

Tristen Dye placed third in 1600 meter runs and fourth in 800 meter.

Trojan boys 3rd, girls 8th at invitational

Jessica Saunders scored several first-place finishes in the throwing events for Hillsboro girls with shot put and discus throw.

Kinsey Kleiner placed fourth in long jump and D’Myia Cox was fifth in triple jump.

Ainsley Duell finished fifth in 800 meter run.

For the boys, Jared Janzen was first in shot put and first in discus.

Nate Hein scored a first place finish in pole vault.

Carson Linnens was first in triple jump and second in long jump.

Levi Allen came in fifth place in 200 meter run, and sixth in 1600 meter run. Teammate Zachary Denholm finished third in boys 100 meter.

Carson Linnens, Nicholas Cunningham, Tyson Plenert and Nate Hein finished forth in 4x100 meter relay.

Goessel boys 2nd, girls 3rd

Berean High School hosted a track meet at the Goessel track and the Bluebirds performed well on a warm afternoon.

Bluebirds that won their events included: Jacob Schrag, Triple Jump; Luke Wiens, 100m dash; Nate Zogleman, Long Jump; Grant Bryant, 110m hurdles; Cheyenne Sawyer, 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles; Riley Graber, high jump.

Goessel boys scored 133 points taking second place. Goessel girls scored 88 points to earn third place, one point behind Little River.
