Track highway projects online

Kansans will be able to view scheduled transportation work in their area on a new website by Kansas Department of Transportation: http://www.ksdot.org/tworkslaunched

The website displays all highway, transit, rail, and aviation work scheduled under the state’s transportation program, T-WORKS.

It allows Kansans to review the amount of money being spent in their county, see when projects are scheduled to be completed, view maps of the projects, and read the latest news in Kansas transportation.

It also allows users to create customizable project lists and maps based on their interests.

T-WORKS is a 10-year program and not all projects have been scheduled, so the site will be updated continuously with new projects.

It will also provide timely updates on existing projects as they develop. Information about most city-street and county road projects will not be available, however.

Another key feature of the T-WORKS site is that it allows Kansans to make comments or ask questions regarding any project.
