Tomahawks lose at home

Peabody-Burns Junior High football came up short with a loss to Little River Thursday. The Tomahawks were defeated, 24-14, and now have a record of 3-3. The team will end their season this week with a game at home against Centre.
The Tomahawks did not put any points on the board in the first half of the contest. Little River, however, scored four times and led 24-0 at the buzzer.
Kevin Baatrup got the PBJH squad on the scoreboard early in the third with a pass play to Corbin Rives for the 45-yard score. Baatrup connected with Brooks Hodges for the two-point conversion and PBJH cut the Little River lead 24-8.
Baatrup hit Rives again in the second half. The 50-yard pass play netted 6 but the conversion failed. PBJH lost to Little River, 24-14.
