Tomahawks fall to 2-2

Tomahawk football now has a 2-2 record with a Thursday loss to Wakefield. Peabody-Burns Junior High was defeated 32-6. The team will play at Hope next against Rural Vista. Kickoff has been changed from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
The Tomahawks went without a score in the first half. Wakefield put up three scores in the half including two touchdowns and a safety. Wakefield led the PBJH squad 14-0 at the half.
Wakefield scored three more times in the second half.
Tomahawk offense continued to struggle in the final half but did manage to put together a scoring drive late in the fourth quarter. Kevin Baatrup connected with Brooks Hodges to set up a first-and-goal at the Wakefield 10-yard line. Baatrup again hit Hodges for the 10-yard passing touchdown. The extra point attempt failed but PBJH got on the board in the contest.
The Tomahawks suffered their second loss of the season with a defeat by Wakefield, 32-6.
