A free barbecue meal was spread out for emergency responders, civic workers, and others last Wednesday to thank them for what they do for the community.
Wichita-based Security 1st Title and Hannaford Abstract worked together to provide the meal to anyone who came to the Marion Community Center.
Craig Burns, CEO of Security 1st Title, said the title company enjoys holding barbecues throughout towns in Kansas.
The event drew a large, appreciative crowd who left full and happy. The Marion barbecue feed is the last one of 2016, Burns said.
Judy Argyle, policy department manager for Security 1st, said the company did 50 barbecues for more than 11,000 people during 2016.
