Thanksgiving Day will change city schedules

Peabody Deputy City Clerk Stephanie Ax reminds Peabody residents that the city office will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Nov. 27.

Refuse pickup also will be pushed back a day because of Thanksgiving Day.

“As usual, a holiday that falls on a regular workday creates a change in trash pickup for communities like ours that receive service at the end of the week,” Ax said. “Our trash will be picked up on Saturday instead of Friday next week.”

The pickup schedule for recycling will remain the same and recyclable materials will be picked up Friday morning.
