Guests in the home of Joyce Kyle the evening of Nov. 22 were the Darvin Schmidt family, Mark Schmidt family, Jerald and LaVonne Jantz, and Mary Langenegger. The evening was spent visiting, singing, and eating.
Bob and Becky Kyle of Peabody and Brody Kyle of Manhattan called on Joyce Kyle on Nov. 23.
Ryan Doyle of Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho, came to visit his mother, Rose Forgy, from Nov. 16 to Dec. 2. While he was here, he had several meals with Vernon and Judy Koehn while his mother worked.
Renferd and Wanda Koehn and Lonnie, Vernon and Judy Koehn, and Rose Forgy and Ryan were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Glenn and Bonnie Ensz and family in Hillsboro. In the afternoon, Renferd and Wanda Koehn called on Lonnie Koehn at Moundridge.
A pre-Thanksgiving celebration for extended family was Nov. 22 at the home of Ronnie and Patti Gaines. Guests were Roma and Kenny Koehn, Shawn and Jean Koehn and boys of Galva, Dusty Gaines, Ty, Kim, and Brooke Gaines, and Kim Sutphin and boys of Valley Center.
Ronnie and Patti were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Shelly Harper and Ben at Inman. Also attending were Wayne Harper of Hutchinson and Dusty Gaines of Wichita.
Joyce Kyle joined family and friends at Mary Langenegger’s home for Thanksgiving dinner.
Marie Clark was a Thanksgiving Day guest of Martin and Peggy Van der Weg and family. Jen Stucky, Chris Stucky and family, and Mack Clark and family also were guests. Wayne and Gloria Handle were Marie’s overnight guests Nov. 26.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers, Bruce Sayers, Tom and Esther Archer and Daniel of Cottonwood Falls, Gunters and Sheila Labherr of Andover, and Roy and Sara Wessel and Leroy, and Autumn Padgett of Florence were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Sandy Sayers in El Dorado.
Joyce Kyle’s callers during the past week were Bob Kyle, Renferd Koehn, and Jim and Beulah Gehring.
Word was received that former Burns resident Lawrence Harms died Nov. 20 in Rio Hondo, Texas.
The ice storm kept many people in the Burns community and surrounding area at home and now they are busy picking up limbs.
