Several residents attend Fiesta Bowl

Jim Srajer and his son, Cole, and Steve Svoboda and his son, Cody, left for Phoenix on Dec. 31 to attend the Fiesta Bowl football game Thursday between Kansas State University and the University of Oregon.
Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was an overnight guest Dec. 29 of his mother, Lucille Kerbs. Others joining them Dec. 30 for a post-Christmas family celebration were Reuben and Cristy Kerbs, Charlotte and R.J., Wichita; Tim and Marchelle Kerbs, Molly Kerbs, and Raymond Deiser, all of Salina; April Reidy, Cierra and Gracie, Manhattan; Doug and Connie Thompson and Taylor, Allison Sluder and Brooklyn, and Clayton and Leah Kerbs and Porter, all of Abilene; Jesse and Ashton Smith and Sydney of Pilsen; and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn. A special cake was served in celebration of Clayton and Leah’s wedding anniversary. They opened gifts in the afternoon.
Adeline Bernhardt spent Christmas Day evening to Dec. 28 with Barney and Linda Bernhardt of Wichita. Joining them Dec. 26 for a Christmas dinner were John, Hailey, and Heather Haynes; James Haynes; Josh, Megan, and Joy Martin; Jim Miller; and Misty Jones, all of Wichita; and Carrie Bernhardt, El Dorado.
Many Tampa people attended an open house Dec. 30 at the Hillsboro Senior Center to celebrate Willis and Eleanor Herbel’s 50th wedding anniversary. Among them were Leona Kleiber, Adeline Bernhardt, and Tom and Dee Duggan. The Herbels moved from Tampa to Hillsboro in 2011.
Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna joined Frank and Anna Mae Stika at their home for a New Year’s Day dinner.
Visitors at the homes of Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and David and Katarina Rziha, Isabel, Samuel, and Kathrine on New Year’s weekend were Wayne Rziha, Cecilia, Anthony, and Daniel, Tulsa, Okla.; John and Jeanne Rziha, Michael, Christopher, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas, Charles, Anna, and Henry, Atchison; Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, Maria, John, Michael, and Juliet, Chippewa Falls, Wis.; Susie Rziha, Lincoln, Neb.; Emilio and Janie Aita, Antonio, Sebastian, Raphael, and Mariana, Glen Carbon, Ill.; Cecilia Rziha, Dallas, Texas; and Julie Rziha, Sabetha.
Ron and Twyla Brown of Wichita visited Jane Vajnar on Dec. 29. Ashton Smith and Sydney of Pilsen visited Lucille Kerbs on Dec. 29 and gave her a Christmas gift.
Adeline Bernhardt spent Dec. 23 to 25 with Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington. On Christmas Eve, they attended a candlelight service at Calvary Lutheran Church in Wichita. Additional Christmas dinner guests of the Hubbards were Chris, Dee Anna, and Gabby Stout, and Donna Hubbard, all of Wellington; and Clint Hubbard, Wichita.
Leona Kleiber’s family spent Christmas Day with her. Those attending were Terry and Cindy Vinduska, Marion; Sara Vinduska and Matt Frazier, Sandpoint, Idaho; Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik, Tanner and Allie, Pilsen; Jill Vinduska, Orlando, Fla.; Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nick, Salina; Tim and Amanda Baxa and Sophia, Wichita; Dale and Andrea Klenda, Elijah, Evan, and Silas, Lincolnville; Dean and Becky Routh, Melody and Danielle, Augusta; and Chris Granzow, Lakeland, Fla.
