Two students and a faculty member received special recognition at Tabor College’s annual honors convocation Thursday.

Senior Maryn Robson of Sterling and junior Braden Vix of Sawyer, North Dakota, were recipients of Hiebert Outstanding Student Merit Awards.

Recipients must have a cumulative 3.3 grade point average and demonstrate leadership on campus. Included is a monetary award endowed by descendants of Kornelius Hiebert, the first chair of Tabor College’s board of directors.

Rick Bartlett, director of theological education at Tabor College Wichita, received the Clarence R. Hiebert Excellence in Teaching Award.
